When I got to Toronto, I grabbed a quick bite and then went to the gate. I figured I should see if they had any seats with extra legroom. After all, I’d spent the number of Aeroplan points for a business class seat, I should try to get one on this last leg of the flight.

The counter agent couldn’t find me in the system for a while. Eventually she found that the guy in Ottawa had tossed me from the flight and that I was booked on the flight on MONDAY!!!!!  This on Saturday night.

She had to fiddle for a very long time, but she did manage to get me back on tonight’s flight, and in business class.

If you ever move to another flight, make sure you check with the gate when you arrive at your connection. You might be sleeping in the airport otherwise!
